How will Young Leaders sessions work?
To start with, our sessions will be delivered online, and we will look at plans for in-person delivery after our first few sessions.
Government guidance and guidance via the National Youth Agency states that we are able to resume in person sessions with up to 15 young people per group, after Step 2 of the road map (currently scheduled for 12th April).
Once in-person activity is possible again, we anticipate Young Leaders will include a mixture of in-person activity & online meetings via Zoom, depending what the group are working on. In person sessions will mostly take place at Spetchells Centre, Prudhoe, but members who cannot attend in-person will still be able to take part in these sessions via Zoom and Live Streaming.
There will also be opportunity for you to facilitate trips together as a group e.g. to see a show at the theatre.
Project Plans and Timeline:
Between 14ᵗʰ April and 26ᵗʰ July, we have planned the following activity:
10 x Online fortnightly sessions:
2 x 1:1 sessions per member, focusing on:
Company Three Gatherings – When This Is Over
Our Young Leaders will be invited to take part in ‘gatherings’ led by Company Three as part of our new youth theatre project ‘When This Is Over.’
The gatherings will be big online meet-ups for young people and leaders involved in the project to connect and share. The focus of these gatherings will be on the future of youth theatre and its role in the world.
We will inform our Young Leaders of when these will be happening & will send them details of how to take part ahead of each session.
Creative Events & Workshops
There will be opportunity during this time for Young Leaders to take part in other events and/or workshops based on their interests. This will be dependent on various opportunities that become available throughout the project.
