I Weigh, throughout the year
We devised a new show from scratch called I Weigh (pictured above), inspired by the worldwide Instagram movement. I Weigh was a fun and poignant journey through what it is like living in a world that places value on the superficial, distorts self-image and asks questions about the expectations that are placed on us every day.
We worked with 150 young people, reached over 500 audience members, and added 3 new touring venues to our network: Gosforth Civic Theatre, The Witham in Barnard Castle and Action Transport in Ellesmere Port. We also delivered outreach work with loads of different young people's groups and schools across the North, including Youth Focus NE, Gateshead Youth Council, Whickham School, Duchess Community High School in Alnwick, Famous 415, Turrets Youth Theatre and Gateshead Late Shows.
