2022 marks Mortal Fools’ 10th Birthday and, to celebrate, we’re planning an event which will bring all our youth theatre groups together with the local community for an event full day of theatre and joy!
About the event:
We are currently planning for the event to take place outdoors at Hirst Park in Ashington (with a wet-weather back up plan at the YMCA).
The event will involve live performance from all our MFYT groups in the ‘performance area’, as well as some pre-recorded content that the audience will listen to through silent disco headphones.
Each of our MFYT groups will be given a stimulus to get them started with developing ideas for their stories and characters. This could be anything - a book, a poem, a song – but whatever it is, it will be something the group are interested in, and supports our theme of joy and celebration.

- Perform live to their friends, family and a public audience
- Take part in some digital art forms e.g. voice recording and animation
- Meet other young people from across Northumberland
