Hirst Fest
A free mini festival for children, young people, families and the community - full of fun, creativity and community spirit.
We brought creativity and sparkle to Ashington at Hirst Festival across Winter 2025. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of events including creative activities, family fun, a themed silent disco, a magical light installation, a family pop-up cinema, and opportunities for the community to come together and have fun. Everyone had fun, tried something new, and embraced the magic of winter. |
Ensemble Young Company Presents...Across May - August 2025, our Ensemble Young Company set out to create two short films tackling some of the barriers young people face today. Filmed entirely on an iPhone (a creative challenge in itself), the films are intended to start conversations with young people about Anxiety and Relationships with adults.

The Bigger PictureThe voices of 75 young people from Northumberland and the North East come together in a collection of short films, created by Mortal Fools Youth Theatre with Fly Girl Films and Mortal Fools’ associate artists.
