Brainstorm

Mortal Fools’ Ensemble Young Company presents Brainstorm: an honest, funny and thought-provoking theatre show diving into the messy mechanics of the teenage brain!

Brainstorm is a fast-paced exploration of the imperfectly perfect teenage brain, told by 11 talented young performers going through the highs and lows of the teen experience right now. Join them in discovering their relationships, needs, hopes, dreams, fears, and frustrations, in a whole new light.

Mortal Fools X Newcastle Carers

Mortal Fools and Newcastle Carers are joining forces to empower young adult carers to engage with the arts and creativity.

Mortal Fools will be working with Newcastle Carers Young Adult Carers (YAC) group, to co-design a creative intervention that is responsive to their ideas and needs, whilst supporting the group’s wellbeing, skills development and creative health.

Hirst: Together Works

Putting the voices of local people at the heart of change in the Hirst.

This Ashington focused community engagement project is all about bringing the folks across the Hirst together, to explore community and creativity, whilst feeding into the next chapter of Ashington regeneration in small but mighty ways!

Light Up

Between Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025 our Youth Theatre groups are working on Light Up: a project exploring light, imagination, creativity and joy!

We've challenged our youth theatre to explore the ways in which light illuminates the beauty in the world around us, influences our mood and perspective and in the absence of light, what mystery and magic may exist. In early 2025 we'll be holding 2 exciting events in Ashington and Tyne Valley, showcasing our Youth Theatre's performances.

Future Ready is a pilot project commissioned by North East Combined Authority funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund supporting and empowering economically inactive and/or socially isolated young people aged 16-30 years old in Northumberland on their employability journey.
