CONNECT: Through Teacher CPD

CONNECT is a training and professional development programme for businesses, community and public sector organisations, schools/trusts, teams, and individuals.

CONNECT: Teacher CPD sessions can be booked as one-off sessions, as part of inset days, or for conferences & events.

“The content was well received with staff seeing the value of the session. We were able to implement some of the things highlighted straight away and it triggered some positive changes. We would love a follow up session!” - Headteacher, Fernhurst Primary School

Teacher CPD Sessions we are currently delivering:
  • Emotional Resilience & Burnout: Staff Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Measuring Young People’s Wellbeing in the Classroom
  • Managing Difficult Conversations
  • Supporting Creative Bravery in Classrooms
  • Team Dynamics & Equitable Communication
  • Increasing Personal Impact & Imposter Syndrome

We can deliver in-person sessions in the North East, and shorter digital sessions to any setting in the UK.

The training offered is thematically similar to our CONNECT training programme – you can download our CONNECT brochure on the CONNECT page.

We also offer teacher CPD in connection to Melva: our fun and accessible creative intervention, supporting children (aged 7-11) and the adults in their lives to talk openly about – and better understand – their mental health, emotions and wellbeing. Visit our dedicated Melva website to find out more.

Wellbeing Evaluation Toolkit – Launching 2024/25

We have developed a wellbeing evaluation toolkit, based on the PERMA Framework™, which will be a resource for teachers and education settings to use. This toolkit enables educators and folks supporting young people to measure wellbeing in their settings, enabling rich learning and the collection of impact data!

This development period has been supported by the Northumberland Local Cultural Education Partnership.

The PERMA model of wellbeing outlines five key pillars for flourishing:

P - Positive Emotion
E - Engagement
R - Relationships
M - Meaning
A – Achievement

Alongside the toolkit, CPD training and workshops will be available - to engage, enable, and empower teachers to effectively evaluate the journey of young people engaging in creative activities, and the impact these activities are having on their wellbeing.
