At Mortal Fools, we work with children and young people to create original, high-quality art shaped by their ideas and experiences.
Using theatre and drama, we help people build stronger relationships, grow in confidence, develop new skills and connect with others. Every year, we work with thousands of children and young people across the North East of England, including around 100 young members who take part in weekly, youth-led programmes.
We believe every young person should have the chance to be creative, especially those who face barriers to the arts. We work closely with schools, families, artists and communities to make our projects welcoming, inclusive and accessible.
We champion the voices of young people. Our work explores the issues that matter to them today, encouraging understanding, conversation and positive change in our communities.
